STEELHOUSE LIVE ANNOUNCE ‘STEELHOUSE AWAY DAY III’ WITH FLORENCE BLACK HEADLINING

Written by on 01/11/2021

LIVE AT THE TRAMSHED, CARDIFF PLUS SPECIAL GUESTS AS WELL AS SUPPORT FROM FELLOW FAST-RISING WELSH HEAVYWEIGHTS, VALHALLA AWAITS!
Taking place Friday, 8th of April 2022, the show will be the Merthyr Tydfil power trio’s biggest headline show to date and is the latest marker of an incredible rise from the pubs and clubs of their hometown to festival stages all over the UK and beyond.
The band’s debut album, Weight Of The World received universal praise from the UK rock press – ‘Kerrang!’ describing it has ‘10 tracks of no-nonsense, rough-edged hard rock with maximum firepower’. Fans agreed and sent it soaring to #6 on the official UK Rock Albums chart whilst bittersweet ballad, ‘Sun & Moon’ took to the airwaves becoming a staple of the Planet Rock playlist for 2 months.
Florence Black frontman, Tristan Thomas said, “The Tramshed has been on the bucket list for a long time! To be headlining a show there in 2022 is an unbelievable feeling. It’s our biggest headline show to date and we are so buzzed to be doing it with our brothers, Valhalla Awaits too!”
Steelhouse organisers, Mikey Evans and Matt Rhead added, “It’s with great excitement and no small amount of pride to announce Florence Black as Steelhouse Away Day III headliners. Their incredible set at Steelhouse Festival 2021 was a coming-of-age moment. They’ve quite rightly claimed main-stage billing at Planet Rockstock, have a special guest spot at Winter’s End Festival and this is the next logical step in their rise through the ranks…Like fellow Welshmen, Those Damn Crows before them, the momentum is undeniable”.
Florence Black will be joined by a soon-to-be-announced special guest whilst Valhalla Awaits – featuring Andrew Hunt, recently seen fronting Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons, will get proceedings off to reassuringly heavy start.

Coming off the back of the inaugural event featuring Bernie Marsden and Kris Barras and the re-scheduled second show, now taking place on February 5th 2022 and headlined by Those Damn Crows, the Steelhouse Awayday takes place at the 1000 capacity venue, The Tramshed in the Welsh capital. It is a indoor event from the organisers of the Steelhouse Festival which this year celebrated its 10th anniversary and was the first large-scale music event to take place in Wales for 16 months. Both Steelhouse Away Day’s I and II have sold-out.
